Subarus and their owners are awesome!

Subaru owners are a tight group of very friendly people. Every Subaru owner waves at the other Subaru owner. No other car is like that. You don't wave to all the other Hondas or fords or toyotas or volvos or Mercedes'.. But Subarus do. If you own a STi and a Forester drives by, you wave. Everyone is very kind hearted and super generous and friendly in the Subaru community. If your debating between a Subaru and another comprable car, let this be the deciding factor. You are joining an elite club of top quality individuals.

I still own an old Impreza I built and use to race. Tore up the streets for years until I got a little greedy with the tune one day and melted a head gasket, rings and sleeves.. She's been broken down for almost 7 years now as I have had life in the way.. How I miss my Subaru and the people that drive them.

This convinces me. I'm too anti social for a subaru. I'd rather not have strangers waving at me because we drive the same brand of car. Maybe if I saw a 10th Planet sticker. But not over a car.

I make about 80% of my income doing automotive work, mostly on jeeps. My father was a certified auto-mechanic and a master auto technician. Ive been into cars my entire life and since I live in the Pac North-west Ive worked on a lot of subies. They had a good era. Like almost every car company they have made some great cars and a lot of shitty ones. Anything that uses a timing belt instead of a timing chain is automatically excluded from automotive greatness. They do a good job of AWD (more so now) but FWD is a joke. The low clutch bypass seal problem in many of the transmissions had was a shitty thing they stuck people with.
