    MO State Championship resluts

Mack Elwood, a Ronin from St Louis area won bronze at MO State Championship in the Intermediate division this morning. Was moved one weight division up for no reason and had to go against some big dudes. Lost his first match due to a takedown in overtime round and won his match for the 3rd place vie D'arce choke.
Him and I will be going to Chicago at the end of the month to represent 10P Family at Chicago International Open.

one day, brother! got so much going on this year: went to HQ in February already, Chicago International Open in 4 weeks, 10P Midwest Training Camp in May, another HQ trip in June, opening a new gym this summer, No Gi Pan Ams September, No Gi Worlds in November. In between all that I gotto take my wife for at least one vacation or I will be in the dog house for a very long time....

Haha, yeah...was really weird that they moved me up in weight. Would make sense if they scrapped my division but they kept it and just moved me up. Oh well, still got to compete. The overtime rule was "first person to score a point wins." ...
I should have just pulled guard and swept, but he shot and eventually got the TD.
    Any competition is good experience.
Looking forward to a more organized event in Chicago.

"first person to score a point wins in overtime" rule is a huge advantage for a wrestler. not liking it at all. But, I don't like any point tournaments....
