    I don't know a way to transition into the rubber guard that flows well from that position. The only way I can think of is to disengage the clinch completely by forcing my arm out of the overhook or by limp arming out where I would have to let go of the collar-tie grip right? Giving the guy a chance to posture up and putting me in a worse position.
    I just feel like it would be a shame to lose the underhook and end up in mission control if I already had an underhook and was half way to a decent prison guard.

    I understand what you are saying about getting a deep underhook but I find sometimes the guy is fast to react to the underhook and overhooks it before I can get it in deep.
