    Injured myself with Twister Roll

So went for the twister roll from side control and looking back now I realised I didn't roll towards his legs enough or tuck my shoulder in enough! Shoulder crunched as I rolled on it , wasnt sore at the time but 5 mins later and it was starting to get bad if I moved in certain directions. Woke up today and its just stiff.

Take I should stick with anti inflammatorys and ice? Not easy to understand from description but this sort of injury happen to anyone else and how long did you rest?

I got dumped on my shoulder when trying to finish a single leg and my partner grabbed kimura grip & butterfly hook and sat back to roll me over. My hands were locked under his leg and I ended up just smashing the floor with my shoulder. It's been almost 3 weeks since then and my strength is still lower than normal but I have pretty much full mobility. Ice always helps and keep it moving as much as is comfortable. Just rotate it and move it in all the normal ways - no added weight - and you'll see improvement every day. I youtubed some shoulder injury vids and yoga for shoulder injury vids, which gave good ideas like holding a belt or towel tight so your shoulders are activated while doing certain stretches. Have a look and see what you find.

One of my guys did that exact thing going for a Samurai three weeks before his first fight. Dr said it was either a slight tear or deep muscle bruise, but either way he was told to just rest it and go easy. Good luck with your healing.

Thanks guy definitely will do! Anti inflammatorys and ice definitely.

I've sprained my ac joint in my shoulder but thankfully no widening of the actualy joint so doctor thinks its just sprained really, about week for pain to go away and then maybe 2 weeks after that for rehab til I'm back drilling at least (no rolling obviously)

Anyone else ever injure their AC joint in their shoulder?
