I have been studying BJJ for awhile but just recently discovered the 10th Planet system.. so forgive me if this question seems basic or ignorant. But living in western ohio i have yet to find a good 10th planet gym near me to train.. so I've mostly been stuck watching online tutorials and practicing them in class with no properly qualified 10th planet instructor. But in doing so I've come across a position that works very well for me.. and I'm having a hard time finding it online to better widen my arsenal from the position. So if anyone can help me out with a name of the guard or maybe reasons its not used due to faults I just havent discovered yet.. I'd greatly appreciate it.. The explanation of the guard is as follows..
I can achieve it from either a high full guard or basic rubber guard (amongst a few other positions) But for explanation sake.. lets just assume we start out with the opponent in full guard. The transfer occurs when the opponent reaches a hand back to push your knee to the floor, and as he does so.. you grab the bicep or elbow as you might to stop a punch or possibly slip a leg over for a triangle, and as you keep their arm back, you take the opposite foot of the hand you're using to hold there arm.. and hook that foot under the elbow being held back. Here you can typically hold them in position while you work neck cranks, bicep crushers, or some sweeps. So if any information, links, or names of this guard could be given, id greatly appreciate it.
