    After Tournement Feeling

After the GoodFight sub only, i felt the need to get back into the gym and train super hard to going into a next tourney. Am i getting too ahead of myself should I focus more on my training and not worry about competition ? Any thoughts.

I think competition is the best way to gauge where you stand. It should definitely light a fire under your ass. Especially if you didn't perform well. My first comp was 2 months after I started training

If you have the means and opportunity to compete, you should go for it. You never know if you'll be injured, or working, or short of funds when the time is "right" to compete.

keep training brother and also we have a bunch of tourneys coming up so make it down man and we will keep pushing. If you make it down the night before you can always stay at the school and go with us the next day.

Grappling tournaments are very same and not as hard on the body as even most ball sports. I really think people that get big into competing definitely progress the fastest. If you are 100% healthy, keep training, keep pushing.

With that said, there is a such thing as over training. And those that over train usually must be constantly reminded not to kill themselves. We have a pro mma fighter currently at 10p bmt that over trains. Constantly monitoring him so he doesn't do 15 intense workouts a day or something crazy and injure himself like he has in the past. Lol. If I just had 1/4 of his work ethic.. Damn.
