Loving all of the new Lockdown/Electric Chair defense videos

LOL, Every forum I looked at today has a thread with videos on how they would have defended the electric chair or escaped Eddie's lockdown. Old videos from Ari and Eric Paulson with a few new videos (only one of which was decent). I don't know why they don't just come to the source... MTS $5 a month Eddie will show you the best ways. * SMH *

Look out for the super dangerous Indian Death Lock coming your way! Seems to be the most popular "counter to the lockdown" video right now.

These guys have no idea how robust the 10th Planet 1/4 and 1/2 guard game is.

I really like and use Eric Paulson's kneebar counter to the lockdown (after unhooking the foot). Of course we have a million counters in our system as well because we are always being locked down during training, but that is certainly one that didn't exist and it is unlikely Eddie would've come up with it. He'll be the first to tell you that leg locks aren't his forte. What is beautiful about Eddie's philosophy and the system it has created is the very fact that we are willing to assimilate a variety of techniques from every style we can find. So, it is awesome that other schools are now focusing on countering the lockdown and electric chair; it will only make all of us better.

Honestly, we've all been saying it for a while. Eventually people would start to pick up on 10th planet moves. Guys still doubt the sub, but they believe in the sweep. So their defense will be getting better. And that's great. That will only make us better.

Love it or hate it, I'm just glad they're talking about it.

I just watched a video of the "Indian Death Lock" and I think it's ridiculous. Any lockdown player with quite a bit of reps will immediately kick out and hip to the side, causing them to fall back into our clinch, and possibly right into the E.C.. I think the best lockdown destroyers are things that we already practice a lot. Y'allready know: JNT (if PDU ain't perfect), T.P., N.H.P., DM.P., B.C.

Unrelated but my advanced rubber guard book came today, so glad to see some nice set ups using deep half guard in the half guard section. Cool things with 10P is that they are always evolving!!

some of the videos are ok, some are not. there will be a new respect for it. new defenses will start popping up. isn't that why we are all with 10th planet though? for the evolution of the art?
