Whoa! That screw was long. "It's a boy!" haha

Watching that makes me contemplate the advances in medicine that allow MMA fighters, and athletes in general, the opportunity to continue in the sport they love after such devastating injuries. Would MMA be able to grow in popularity if the doctors weren't able to piece fighter back together? If not for the advances in sports medicine, most of these guys who get such injuries would have such short careers that we wouldn't get the opportunity to see them showcase their skills time after time and develop an interest in them as individuals. Guys like Shogun also come to mind. I had been contemplating going back to grad school for Biomedical engineering and this makes me want it even more. Thanks for the post.
