Wow, thanks for the love! I have been on this forum for awhile (like 2010?) but technical difficulties prevented me from actively communicating (I was blocked for some reason). In spite of this, I feel like I know many of you, my 10th Planet brothers and sisters, fairly well. I will continue to share what little I've learned on this incredible journey we've decided to call jiujitsu.

Gunter, I'm really a little guy trapped in a big guy's body. I play rubber guard and lockdown half guard à la Eddie Bravo. My open guard is from Eric Ramey + spiral guard. My passing is Marcelo + the flyover. From side control and mount I look like a fat, slow Jeff Glover minus the triangles. Everyone will be different. You're tall and have long legs, right? Triangles will probably work well for you (mine are hideous). You can probably use the Jap necktie, guillotine, D'arce, etc., while I have never been able to pull any of those off in competition. I'm happy to discuss any technique with you.

And Mario, I'm riding off into the sunset right at this moment... even though it is 8:45am. And you know what 'riding' means in this context, Playa.

You might try the knee-on-belly armbar. This guy does it beautifully, although he doesn't talk about the really important details. Pull on the head and the arm to get your opponent on his side. When you step around the head, bury your foot as deep as you can behind his back, and bring your butt as close to his head as you can. And squeeze your knees together.

By the way, is it kosher by forum rules to post technique videos? The only reason I ask is because I see so few.

Well the rule used to be that you had to be a brown belt to post videos of yourself teaching techs, but now all the moonheads can. Posting vids of someone outside 10P is ok. But I'd assume you're good regardless, since you hold rank here.

    As far as I'm aware.

I'm probably wrong though. I am a lot.
