We need help with the JJ mount escape guys. What are you doing to prevent them from gift wrapping you and taking your back? Thanks in advance and as always videos will help greatly.

Jean Jacque Mount Escape

Assuming you're escaping to the left side.
Right forearm across the hip, left forearm pushing down the leg, left hand clasping over the right, shrimp to the left, then shrimp to the right.
Edit: Right forearm is to prevent the guy on top from getting too high on the mount.

Although Cora gave up more than 25 lbs to this girl, she beat Cora with the same move as this.

Exactly what Royce said. You can't let your opponent creep up higher into the mount; use your elbows and forearms on her hips and don't let her legs get under your arms. Also, you can use your right knee (if you're escaping left) to bump their butt and break their posture. Check out 0:37 of this video to see what I mean.

awesome.. thanks guys.. I think what we been doing wrong was exposing the back too much and need to make sure that elbow pressure is stronger against their knee.

If you are talking purely about the JJ mount escape...Check out MTS 68 around the 56 Minute mark. Cora didn't hit the JJ mount escape (the way Eddie describes it) in the video above. At the 52 sec mark Cora steps her own leg over (like an Alcatraz attempt) which I think blocks the JJ escape and enabled the other girl to grab it . Also, I personally t-rex (keeping my wrists really close to my chest) when I'm on bottom and then hit the escape before someone would be able to gift wrap me.
