I do not even have the words to describle how amazing my 1st visit to HQ was. Thank you to all the people that made my trip so special. until you go and train you can not understand the sense of family we have.
Special Mention should be made of Frank Barca and Josh Pecastain, I was lucky enough to ride the coat tails from all there years of travelling (right back to the bomb squad days), hard work on the Mats, and bonds they have made with the LA crew. Due to you I was welcomed with open arms.
I was Blown away by the level of Instruction and rolling on the mats, getting to see Master Eddie, Geo, Denny, Einstein and even my own coach Frank Barca take classes. Breaking down the warm ups, Franks triangles, Denny's front headlock set ups, Master Eddies Defenses, Scotties North South and Ham Sandwhich, Casey's Berimbolo, Ben Eddy's Guard... my head was exploding by the time I got back.
It was a massive week, Apart from the training I got to sit in on EBR twice, met Joey Diaz and Tait and Amber lyon. Sat front Row for Metamoris 3 with Frank And Einstein while they broke down the action, and be there for History as Eddie proved the effectiveness of our system in front of the world. I had goose bumps when Eddie walked out and not afraid to admit had tears of happiness when I saw him using our system dominating a legend that had no answers.
So a massive thank you to Casey, Travis, Scott Ross, Denny, Geo, Karina, Kristi, Keta, Rhassan, Scott Palmer, Einstein, Rob, Gerrit, Michael D, Ben, Curtis, Ziggy, Johnny Ho, Louis, Edgar and Becky, Drew, Adlai... for the lifts, advice, instruction and friendship, for 10 days I did not stop till we sat at the airport waiting to board so i'm sorry if I forgot anyone.
and of course Eddie Bravo, I started Jiu Jitsu after seeing Mastering the Rubber guard on a burnt dvd back around 2007, 2 years later I met Frank Barca, since then my whole life has changed, Grappling isn't only a passion its a way of life, but more so when involved in the 10th planet system. With out your vision and drive none of us would have this. you created something truely special, look at Metamoris 3, 10th planet dominated on the mat and in the audience, We were like an Army, no other school could come close to matching us, the crowd was a sea of 10th planet, We truely are a family, and I'm blessed to be a part of it.
Finally once again thanks to Frank and Josh for bringing 10th planet to Australia, and all the time and effort you have put into me personally. I hope I can pay you back and show my appriciation one day.
Now its time to rehab my knee and get back over to HQ later this year. I'll see you all then.
