Agreed, and remember there are a lot of guys out there who also train and are badass that dont care how they hurt you. So there are a lot of factors to consider in a street fight.

Yeah, street fights.. My strategy is end it as fast as possible. Thai clinch seems to be where i go first if i can get close. if not ill just throw punches. I dont really know why i have never thrown kicks in a street fight, i guess with the adrenalin i never really think about it or feel comfortable. But if i got taken down and they happened to be in my guard.. yeah rubber guard would be the first thing i do to prevent them from raining down some punishment on my face. assuming we're talking 1 on 1 with no weapons.

Don't street fight. If you are confronted by an aggressor, play cool and try to get out without a fight. If you do have to fight target the center of the body like the groin, stomach , or nose. If you are taken down and worry for your life bite or dig your thumb deep into his eye. if you are taken down and the guy is smaller or you know you can escape without having to worry about using harsh moves as fore mentioned than try a sweep and choke the guy to sleep then leave the scene. Always leave the scene.

Your best bet is to avoid a street fight if at all possible... If it is not avoidable, you do what you can to survive! I have fought "many" times in street fights and the last thing I would do is go to the ground with anyone, as long as I can dictate that part of the fight. You never know who is going to jump in, you may be fighting on concrete, etc... And the first rule to street fights is there are no RULES!!! It is all about survival! You don't know if they or one of their friends is armed (knife/Gun/knucks/club, etc...) If you are not a fighter, and even if you are, your best bet is to test your skillz in the cage or on the mats. Never the streets! If you find yourself in a situation where you have no choice, then defend yourself! But don't hold yourself to rules that don't exist on the streets! People will bite, scratch/gouge your eyes, kick/grab your balls, what ever they can do to win/survive. Be the smarter person and walk/Run the hell away, and get to live and train another day

Never ever hit anybody in the nose in the street the last thing you want is somebody bleeding on you hep c h i v you never know. Temple, jaw line, solar plex, live shuts people off you want to turn them off nuts and eyes are acceptable.

dont necessarily agree with the nose things. I ended many arguments that were heated with a quick heel palm to th nose. breaking someones nose will usually get their attention
