Just rewatched this fight. Javi is so fun to watch and the fact he was constantly hunting for the submission off the bottom using Mission Control, Retard Control, Meat Hook, Chill Dog.. The only time he actually got hit was when he was using a traditional guard. So awesome to see a Gracie blackbelt embracing the rubber guard.

Yeah it's been a minute since I've seen that fight but it's still one of the best recent examples of rubber guard I've seen in mma. Vinny's fight with Nemkov was great though too.
