Vivid dream Reps Better than mental reps and Grappling dummy?

Anyone ever think of buying some calea zacatechichi. So you can dream about jiujitsu and do massive amounts of reps without getting tired. You would already need to know the proper angles for finishing the subs but as far as getting there... what do you guys think cheaper than a grappling dummy? Plus drugs are fun.

All areas of the brain that are responsible for creating "Muscle 'memory'" are active in the dream state. Also check out this link regarding "Formation of a motor memory by action observation". www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16221842
In the article it states "However, it is not known whether movement observation can lead directly to the formation of motor memories in the M1,..." So i guess there is only one way to find out....

I lack the prerequisite experience to comment about the effects of hallucinogens, but jiu jitsu has frequently haunted my dreams. During last year's REM-times, I was constantly beset by werewolves, bears, and red-skinned demons trying smother the life from me, and my only reprieve was the Heisman. I was shoving those bastards off of side control like an invigorated statue of Joe Namath. It is unknown whether those visions were the result or the cause of my side control phobia.

Well there have been studies that have shown the simple act of thinking about workouts like lifting weights can actually cause measurable changes in the body where you actually gain muscle mass...... Pretty trippy even if it's only a small amount, there's at least some evidence it works.

    So maybe?... LoL

I visualize techniques or situations every night to fall asleep, it most certainly affects the content of my dreams.

    Not buying it...

I think a guy that reps 70 Berimbolos (with every detail perfect) on each side, can beat the dreamer that has done 999999 reps in his thoughts..

I agree that there is far more benefit from live drilling, but the combination of live and visualization has tremendous benefits from my experience. Visualization on it's own has minimal benefit.

Oh wait, you've done it? Well if you've done it, and it's worked, more power to ya'.
I'm not much of a pro drug guy so I obviously will disagree, but I was under the impression that you wanted to do it but haven't tried/wanted to hear other's experiences.

LOL I haven't tried the drug induced dreaming, I just go to bed with thoughts of choking, locking, taking down and escaping every night. I try to focus on thinking about things that went well in previous live drills/sparring and for areas where I made mistakes I try to do a mental redo where I make the correct reaction over and over again. I use the time that I am falling asleep to mentally review all of my training and sparring. Sometimes I will visualize going through all of the details of the Warm-Up Series, and I find this extra focus is definitely helping me memorize them and become more fluid than if I only do live drills. I know I have woken up to Jiu-Jitsu/Fighting dreams, so I am guessing that this is what is going through my head when I am sleeping too. But whatever works, to each their own. And to re-iterate, nothing beats live drilling.
