Pretty good day. Won gold in Gi and No Gi kids 14 and under, Thats my division at 12. Pretty easy no problems. After win guys putting on tournament asked if I wanted to fight teen division as well, 15 and 16 year olds. My dad oked it, so it was WAR time !!!lol.
Got Silver In Gi, lost to 16 year old , really close almost had him tapped in an upside down triangle, but my legs gased and I lost it. You would have thought he just won the national title when he beat me. Coach's and him yelling jumping up and down. I felt like saying "dude I'm 12.......your 16, you drove yourself to this tournamnet. You almost lost to a 12 year old. Maybe you should knock the celerbrating down a notch." But I didn't.lol. I shook his hand and moved on hoping I would get another shot at him in no gi....but no such luck. He only did Gi.
Gold in NO GI teen division. Faught 16 year old. Kid had the guts to try and use rubber guard on me....... I told him if your going to use it, do it right.lol. Not a real exciting match, I kept it safe and basic. I new the kid would be way stronger than me. Won on points 7-2 and he was getting tired and sloppy. Another 1 minute and I would have got him in something.
