I'm Originally from Rochester. Yes, I know, almost Canada. But even though that place wasn't Brooklyn in the 80's, It was still a very dangerous place growing up. I know a couple guys on here that know how bad Rochester is.
Anyhow, being that HQ is in LA (there are several moons in SoCal) and some moons/HB's are bound to be in a bad/questionable neighborhood, do you guys feel like it's a separate world when you're inside the matted area? I get that this could be how everyone feels about bjj already, but In the very dangerous places, you still have to keep your eyes open for the problems happening right outside. You might lose a training partner to stray bullets or a mugging gone wrong, Is it something you guys think about?
