fight speed & accuracy training. coordination bag?

saw something I've never honestly seen before.

saw a coordination bag and thought it was kinda neat, and also thought of the boxing reflex bag.

anyone ever use the coordination bag?

how effective is training with it?

anyone have a set traning program they like to do for MMA?
    heavybag, speed bag, weights, etc.

i was getting good on the speed bag i would do it with my eyes closed and switching hands but my gym is not heated so when it got cold out it went flat then i unhooked it and threw it in side and stopped using it.

anything better over the other or each provides a specific training increase?

heavybag, to speedbag, reflex bag to coordination bag?

I can see each having pros and cons to them.
IE: a heavy bag you can power punch and not miss since its so big so you could pretty much do it blindfolded, where as the coordination bag doesnt exactly call for power shots but you have to focus and make sure to hit it, and since it sways due to each section having different weight, I guess if you punch the top and the bottom sways in, you can practise counter kicking, or evading, etc.

but i've never seen a coordination bag before nor heard of it, so wondering if anyones used one before or know more about it.

If you dont know how to punch, they are all a waste. Go to a boxing/kickboxing gym and learn there. Padwork is the best thing for your handspeed/coordination, but its only worthwhile with a good padholder, helping you fix your mistakes, thus, go to a gym (preferably a good one).

    never mind that nonsense
    speed bag is great

but if you really want some good shit
get a double end bag see how many times you can jab
your feet are probally going to be planted to the floor at first but once you find the
rythem your going to be jabbing and dancing around that shit!

lol nah, new sub division, but the air base fence line is in my back yard. lol

thing i notices about the coordination bag is since the target is not as big as a heavy bag and it moves unpredictably, you can move around, evade and punch at various angles.

Problem is, all the bad habits you teach yourself, will have to be unlearned later. Heavy bag is the best thing to have at home IMO, but only useful after you have good punching and kicking tech. I have no idea what your technique looks like, but if you have not spent a good deal of time in a boxing/kickboxing/similar gym under a qualifed instructor it most likely sucks, and a heavy bag tends to make that worse to a degree.
