I try not to compete with my teammates all the time. When parameters are set, by anyone, injuries have went down and everyone gets more mat time. What I'm doing is spontaneous positional drills. Everyone does them, we just freestyle sessions more. We agree as a team to progress in one aspect of the game. If my tap is ignored, I know you are in competing mode. All good and necessary. But if I sweep or pass, you can't make me keep side if I wanna pass again. But yes, you can keep me in side.
Passing and retaining guard is our weakest point. So I steer our practices that way. They were annoyed when I first started. Now they're better. -
That's not rolling then, that's drilling, completely different mindset.

It is.
But I'll pull it at random times. Confusing for some, but really normal for me. I almost always try to keep it under 4 people at a time. I like to talk to them and see what they're thinking and why. Its what happens hen you roll with the same dudes for years with no timer, lil weed, and some internet.
But yeah. If the rolling timer is on at a gym. Fight till youre dead. -
This is also the reason why your amazing to hang with. Lots of intellect behind everything and immediate responses to all situational questions.
Anyway, we agree, if I stop a roll early, we both know why. Because either you keep catching something that needs to be addressed immediately, or I do. Some shit you just can't put off when both are so familiar with eachothers game. -

I always quit after i've gotten tapped a bunch in a row because Im gassed out. That how it always ends for me. What else am I gonna do? Usually other people have already left and only a couple people are down to stay and keep going anyway. Still this is always the end for me, tapped many times because I dont have any cardio left.

Not sure the worse but the most common is "I wasn't ready".
