Round 1: Nice sweep and control. A little passive, but JD is a beast and you were undersized so can't blame you for playing it safe. Very difficult to pass the half-guard from the position you had, but meh. As long as you stay on top, no biggie. ^_^
Round 2: Nothing much to criticize. I would have taken mount the instant you hit a good side control. He wasn't defending with the crossed knee and you had a good head and arm control so it would have been easy, but again, control is more important and if you feel more comfortable in side control, can't blame you. Nice kimura finish!
Final: Nice rubber guard. I would argue that you could afford to keep the foot on the hip a bit more and just generally the rubber guard looked effective, but a little loose. Also, the transition to the armbar was too loose, hence it nearly all went wrong. He also had a couple of chances to pop out before you managed to sink the triangle, but after you got that locked up, it was all over. Just don't be in such a hurry to jump for the armbar whilst so head on to the guy. Work the angle a bit more and use your hips to bring his elbow across before you go for it. Wrist control from there is pretty useless. It's all elbow control and nudging that cross with your legs and hips.
Oh, and you should change the links. You've put the same link for final and for round 1.
That aside...great work man, and congrats on the wins. Nicely done. ^_^
Take care,
Oli
