Learn the system from books and DVDs

Hey guys, I live in Atlanta Georgia and m at least 3 hours away from the closest moon. I practice regular bjj but I wanna supplement and add to it with the 10th planet system. Should I get the books and DVDs and drill it on a dummy, or should I just wait till I'm 18 and go to college close to a moon or something. Thanks

I live in Ireland and we have no moons here but I CONSTANTLY train 10th Planet, my MMA club is primarily a jiu jitsu/sambo club but everyone has an open mind and thanks to 1 of my jiu jitsu coaches who is a 10th Planet fanatic, he helped teach me the basics (from watching DVDs and studying every bit of footage he could get his hands on). I still want to travel to the moon over in the UK and eventually to LA and Portland to train with Eddie and then Nate Orchard too but in the meantime, I'm rockin the 10th Planet every day in training! Every now and then I go to Dublin to train with another gym that is pure BJJ (no 10th planet) and a lot of the guys there havn't a clue what to do when I use the techniques from the system!

I live in Ireland where there's no moons at all, I got into 10th planet with the books just, didn't really have anyone to drill the techniques on but I still managed to implement them into my game from sparring and rolling, so if you want to implement 10th planet techniques I'd say the books are better than nothing at all tho it will take longer to get the techniques up to a good level obviously.

I'd say get the books, see if anyone at your current gym wants to drill them, if not get mental reps in and reps while you are rolling and also MTS helped me a bunch!

Awesome buddy! Whole bunch of killers out here on the mats, hard not to enjoy! And obviously learning straight from eddie as well is brilliant, moves I thought I knew, I've just been shown all the small details that make a huge difference that I've been missing out on from him.

Struggling a bit with funds lately but I'll definitely make it over to 10th Planet in Birmingham before 2015, I have family there so accommodation should be fine! Paul I don't suppose you'll be traveling to Dublin for the comp in Team Ryano next month?

My teenage years are over next month! Haha, I work but the hours suck and I'm pretty much working to pay for training!
