Quick question: I have ordered a blue alien rashguard (because I liked the blue, nothing to do with the belt). Is it considered wrong to wear a colour above my actual grade?

Ya man that's way wrong, but I doubt anyone would have a prob as long as you didn't wear it at a tourney or such.

This has already been discussed in several threads in the past. Hope I'm not stepping on anybody's toes here but in short, the 10P rashguards sold in the store are ranked rashies and as such, wearing one which does not correspond to your current rank is a big no-no.
Here are a few links to past threads on the same topic:
Do you train at a 10p school? Less of a problem if you don't I would have thought (if just wearing it at training now you already ordered it)… If you train at 10p school it may well offend people.
Nah there's no 10th Planet moons in Ireland, my MMA club is run by a sambo master but our Jiu Jitsu coach is a die hard 10th Planet lover so we have 10th planet classes twice a week usually! I'm hoping to some day be part of the first moon in Ireland!
Doesn't matter where you are training, wearing a ranked rashguard when you haven't earned that rank is frowned upon, and quite frankly gross. We have fraud upon fraud claiming to have rank in 10th Planet, don't get lumped in with them, it never turns out well.

For sure. I didn't mean that you should buy whatever colour you like if you don't play at a 10p school. I meant that if you have bought it and are determined to wear it then you may get away with it in a school that is not 10th Planet. However, to wear it into a 10P gym is likely to really upset people. Personally, I'd not wear a belt I haven't earned, so wouldn't wear a rash guard.
