Mike Beltram wrong in his decision?!

So i live in backwater Sweden and just heard The news that Mike dq Daniel Aguilar in RFA 15 erliear this monthe. I saw an interviw where he Said it was because Aguliera did not engage and went To The ground To much. I saw clips from The fight and yes Aguilera went To The ground but as soon as he did Toomer turned and walked away.
Now im no expert but if a Guy is on The ground facing The opponent and he turnés and walk of he (Toomer) is The one that dont engageg.

Are The judgese trapped in a mindset favoring The "stand up" figther?

That's a good question, but I'm pretty sure the unified rules of MMA state that if the standing fighter does not engage then he must let his opponent up without a threat and the opponent must stand. If he wants the guy on the ground in that situation he needs to either take him down or pull guard. Playing the butt scoot game is silly, it is after all a fight and not a grappling match

So grappling is not fight in your eyes ?
Also why is it ok not To engage when you are standing and The other one is on The ground I mean you are alowed To kick and punch from standing on The Guy on The ground.
What im saying is that if a stand up figther avoid going To The ground its a tactic but if a grapplers avoid stand up its evading?

I absolutely believe grappling is fighting, but rules are rules. If you want the fight on the ground you have to get it there, just like if you want to keep it standing you have to defend the takedown. If he's standing over you punching you got your wish. You just have to pull him to the ground.

Yes but that is my point Toomer (To my knowledge) did not evan try To engage whit kicks and punches when Aguilera went To The ground. Im not saying that he should be dq for that but at least warned.

If he wants the fight standing all he has to do is step back, those are the rules! No warning needed. I don't think you understand what I'm saying, in order to take the fight to the ground you must force your opponent to the ground, you can't just sit and have the ref force the guy in to your guard or every jiu jitsu fighter would do that at the beginning of the round. Go watch Anderson Silva vs. Damien maia. You'll understand what I mean

I do understand you but i do belive The rules favor The stand up Guy. And that is wrong in my opinion. If The stand up Guy backs away from The Guy on The bottom like Toomer did it should at least warent a warning. Its mixed martil arts not K1 or boxning.
