Vladislav Koulikov & Reilly Bodycomb - Sambo Leglock DVDs

    Hi guys,

Never been a massive fan of leg locks until I came across these two DVDs. The one by Vladislav Koulikov is part of his Sambo / Jiu Jitsu fusion set and Reilly's is part of a seminar he is selling online called 'Top Rock'.

The reason I post them on these forums is because some of the stuff on there I consider to be quite innovative (like much of the 10th Planet stuff) and so you might wanna check it out.

Not just leg locks either: on Reilly's DVD, for example, there is an awesome Half Guard Step Over that as soon as he hits the ground he jumps back into a kind of mount (with instep in thighs) and slides into full mount. I really liked this because I've been doing the step over pass a lot (thanks to the warmups) and this gives me another option for it.

    Anyone else seen them?

i have some of Vladislav Koulikov's jiujitsu fusion set. solid stuff.

he is really entertaining in how he teaches but at the same time is very detailed and gives stories or backgrounds on some of his techs which give it the proper context for when you should go to it.

i highly recommend and think i'll have to check out his leg lock dvd as well as Reilly's based on your recommendation. thanks guy

I use alot of reilly's stuff, it works really well. I know guys like Brian Debes learned a good amount about leglocks from lessons with reilly ;D Every time I've gone to one of his seminars I feel a whole notch higher in skill... The Top Rock and other DVDS' he has are must haves, and they are either 30$ on budovideos or TopRock is Name your Own price on his website. He puts alot of thought not just into moves and paths, but the meta of the grappling game, resulting in simple concepts that are in effect advanced strategies.

The Step Back he mentioned leads to some sick leg locks as well... The mount Apperz mentioned reilly calls 'Vegan Mount'. You can effectively picture is as having butterflies on them while mounting them... One of the cool things about this position is half the things they are used to doing to get someone off mount, like pushing on your hips, gives you the space to slide into mount, or turn to a gnarly knee on the belly....

I highly suggest everyone get Top Rock.... Reilly is legit as fuck

I enjoyed top rock alot! I feel like it made my leglock game alot more versitile. I'm constantly using the back step setup and having great success with it.

Vlad is legit as it comes. Grew up training at Sambo 70 in Moscow, but sorta left sambo after a while in the States so he could focus on nogi grappling. Says he finds it less restrictive. Less politics, as well.

I like his stuff because it is all high-percentage, fundamental stuff, that has an obvious sambo flavor. He was my coach at my last comp in Moscow.
