Alternatively if the hand is super heavy it means the knee might not be so I have in the past, kicked their knee on the same side as the wrist control. I have also used the sweep to get them on their side and hit vice grip to D'arce
Do either of you hit the JJ2 when they base heavy on the hand? I havn't been able to try it in rolling yet (one more week til rib injury is fully in the clear) but I've been able to drill the butterfly warm-ups, and it seems when they are really heavy on the posted hand, instead of underhooking near the armpit, if you underhook either at the tricep or the wrist you can collapse his arm forward and load him up to sweep him either way. Any body have any success with something like this?

^ I was wondering the same myself.
This sweep looks awesome Mike! I'm going to trying it out tonight. It's perfect.

I like the JJ2, but only as a follow up to JJ1.

I go for the sweep with JJ1, he bases and counters by shifting his weight to avoid the sweep. As I feel the change in weight distribution, I dive hard into JJ2, upper cutting with my underhook.

Nice sweep but that's not the stick shift. The stick shift is when you attempt the Jean Jacques sweep like in warm ups F and your opponent bases his hand on the mat, then you grab his wrist, pull it towards you then push it to his stomach and continue with the sweep

The SUV sweep. you play around with the gears a bit differently and theyre so easy to flip over

cool technique. question, do most people stick the wrist inside the leg? I've always done it the way that mike showed. cant say exactly why, but I feel like its an awkward angle otherwise and i guess my arm can be straighter so i can lock my elbow in place better.
