    Bicep crush proof

I found out last night that I am immune to bicep crushes due to having 2 'Matt Serra' biceps. So that's the Duda and arm crush from spider web I don't have to worry about. If you want this super power, you just have to snap 2 tendons on each arm. So next time you are caught in a tight armbar, tap on the sound of the 2nd pop and once the swelling subsides and the bicep eventually shrinks to half its original length, you too could have uncrushable arms in time for Christmas - you know you want to.

The bicep crush doesn't effect the bicep alone. It can also cause a separation of the elbow as well. Be careful, don't fully rely on being "untappable", you should still focus on good defense, escapes and counters as well.

BTW I've had the distal bicep tendon on both biceps torn off, but I had the surgery to have them reattached.

Yeah I definitely wouldn't want to just stay in such a compromised position. It was really weird though being in a sub that used to make me tap instantly and now be able to chill. I was told that the recovery time from the surgery was 9 months, and I didn't want to be out of training for that long.

Looks like such a crazy injury, do you lose any power in your bicep? Just going by Matt Serra's it honestly looks like half of his bicep is missing.

No shame in tapping, especially cuz you kinda need your arms for things....like life in general

We were just practising a technique and I was really surprised that there was no pain at all during the sub. I have lost about maybe a third of my bicep strength and yeah, they do look like half a bicep, but at least I have a matching pair. Both injuries were caused through armbars coming on too quick to tap.

No offense, but its always cool to have a white belt say they are immune to a sub.

My half bicep passed the test of one black belt trying to apply the sub without success, so I suppose it only has to get passed the bicep crush master, the Smoke Serpent himself. I'm hopefully attending a seminar of Eddie's in October so I'll ask him to check out my Matt Serra defence. I'm certainly not immune to any other sub, apart from the electric chair.
