Is there a better way to section off athletic tape?

    Hey guys,

I was wondering if there was a technique to sectioning off athletic tape. I'm sure many of you guys seen videos of jiu jitsu dudes taping they're fingers but they section their tape. One part is 1/4 of a inch for fingers while the bigger part is used for wrist or whatever. Bought a pack of four athletic tape and basically dreading it. So far, I just destroyed to of my kitchen knives from the adhesive.

So is there a way of sectioning off tape that is more effective than scoring it over and over.

I just use hockey tape, and you can tear it off the roll in ribbons. You just knick it with a knife or something to set whatever width you want and rip it off.

I use a 1/2 inch roll then make 4 sizes on it. Once I do that thought none are big enough to tape my wrists with though. it is nice have 4 different sizes of small tape strings for whatever your trying to take care of. A good way to get an idea of how to do it is pull a little off the roll and tear it in half. Then you can tear the halves in half or whatever size you want. then when you get the sizes just pull a little off of each so there not together when you pull them. then they should stay their own roll on the roll. hope that makes sense! good luck

Don't forget the black electric tape over top. It locks everything in, waterproof, flexible, and a whopping .80 cents a roll.

Or Hello Kitty duct tape is my current selection. Works well and it looks spiffy, too!

I'll never understand why I resisted BMac's taping knowledge all of these years. It's science! Nobody can resist his man musk though.
