I was out in LA for more testing for the LAPD and decided to compete while I was out there. I drive down to San Diego after my physical and was able to do Grappling X last Saturday. This was my first time outside of the Midwest and without my coaches and I'm happy with my second place finish. The bracketing was super weird. They said it would be round robin but it wasn't so I had more matches than expected but my wins were all finishes!

I wish I had someone telling me how off balance she was so I could have swept. I know better for next time how to handle someone like that in my guard because it's not something I encounter often at home.
