Best Jiu Jitsu Instructional DVDs?

Fade to Black is OK but lacking in details. Keep in mind he was only a blue belt, I'm pretty sure, when Brandon Quick released that video. You'd be much better off with 10th Planet All Stars.

As far as Ryan Hall's videos are concerned, They are some of the most helpful and detail oriented videos you can buy. Ryan explains key concepts in ways I guarantee you haven't thought of before. I recommend his Inverted Guard and Passing the Guard Videos. The Inverted Guard set is Gi but the key guard details he gives are universal for gi and nogi and not just for inverted guard but really helps with all guards. Most videos are just technique after technique. These video give so much more explanation of jiu jitsu theory and conceots.

My favorite choke video is Jeff Glover's Darceapidia... tons of Darce set ups from tons of positions.
Any of Marcelo' stuff will have great choke details.
Bill Coopers Escapes video isn't for chokes but is good for nogi.

Right now I'm studying Ryan Hall's Triangle series. It has increased my triangle finishes significantly. His DVD set on back attacks is solid as well. Very detailed. I've heard any of Jeff Glover's stuff is pretty solid. I'll probably check it out next. I study the MTS quite a bit. Always pick up something new every time I watch.

Also what are peoples thoughts on Brandon Quick's DVD 'Fade to Black'?
I read about some of the controversy about him lying about belt rank which is gross, but is the DVD worth getting?
Personally I would rather not have my money go to a liar but what are you thoughts?

Personally, I really like the DVD he has a good way of explaining stuff, decent technique when demo-ing. However don't buy it. I would say if you were going to pirate any DVD Pirate the fuck out of this one.

Bas Rutten's Big DVD's of Combat is one of my favorites. I have yet to find another dvd which covers all the subs and escapes. If you want to be a master at escaping then you need his DVD. Encyclopedia of leg locks by Gokor is also another favorite of mine. Even, today I watch this dvd's. On a side note, there are some high level instruction about leg locks and escapes on Bas's DVD's.

I love the Twister DVD. I love the All Stars DVD. I also love Fade to Black.
I Like Modern BJJ and I like the Chris Brennan's King of the Kinmura DVD as well. I have watched quite a few at this point but still never seen a Ryan Hall one.

Glad someone else brought it up because the Gracie University stuff is phenomenal, they hit up no-gi a lot and even the gi stuff is not overly dependent.

Telles covers lots of leg locks which I thought was super cool.
