I started barely able to do the butterfly stretch and not able to get into full lotus. I started doing the stretches from Mastering The Rubberguard everyday. After about two months, my butterfly was completely down, and after another month, I could get into full lotus without my hands. Now I'm one of the more flexible students at my school. Now I add Ido Portal's squatting routine into my stretching to help my back and hips. But don't forget, relying on flexibility instead of technique will not work all the time on everyone.
