1. We are planning other activities besides just the jiu jitsu seminars. Daily Rebel yoga & bedability classes as well as parties, performances etc. So everyone that comes with us will have to pay for the 10th Planet portion. Carnival is granting us discounts on rooms and use of seminar space and other activities (performances by the band, parties etc) based on how many people are in our group. So, of course I cannot stop you from booking with Carnival directly, but yes that would exclude you from being a part of any of our activities, your rooms will cost more, and the smaller our group appears to Carnival, the less we'll be able to do.

2. Sorry, I'm not going to call all the airlines and see if they'll give our people discounts. They won't, promise.

3. We are only guaranteed rooms we book within the time line that we've given you, by Dec 31. We will try our best to add anyone on after that date, but I can't promise we'll be able to.

We have put a lot of work in putting this together for you guys and tried our best to make it as affordable as possible while still giving you as much as we can. Please be kind and reasonable with your expectations of us and what we're able to do. Trust me, this has not been as easy endeavor to make happen LOL you should have heard my initial conversations with Carnival trying to explain what jiu jitsu is and what we want to do. But, we did and its going to be AMAZING!!! I'll do whatever I can (within reason!) to help anyone who wants to come on the cruise come. Hope this helps, contact me if you need to.

Great job Dawna! I can't go to this event, but I'm hoping it will be "Successful" so I can get a chance to go to the next one. The first one is always the hardest to put together and with everybody's cooperation, maybe this could turn into a annual event!

Let me know if you guys need any help with this.
I used to be the Travel Coordinator for the UFC (Zuffa) and I know the ropes, and have some good contacts in the industry.
The airlines dont care too much, BUT their are a few things you can do.
One, book with others. The more you travel with, the cheaper. I use Kayak.com
Two- Most airlines offer Military discounts (through THEIR website, or 1-800 number)
Also, if traveling in, i recommend that people arrange to arrive at the same time for Taxi/Bus costs.
Finally, since we are all gonna be doubling/quadrupling up anyway, if a hotel is needed, try and arrange them together!
Saving money is easy if you follow a few things.

MY deposit is in! What do we need to do to pay off the rest of the balance? Also, is there a way to arrange WHO you are staying with in the rooms? Myself, I'll be bring my girlfriend.
But, I know that others would rather bunk with someone they talk with on the forum, rather than just random.
