Mastering the Twister DVD isn't a real "instructional". It's more like a narrative of Eddie's progression and development of his Rubber Guard style. It is entertaining but its not something that teaches you actual techniques.

The All Stars DVD is most definitely 10th Planet Techniques although it doesn't feature Eddie. I figure the techniques shown are probably the go to moves of the guys showing them, and that's always nice to have someone show you stuff that really works for them. The filming, lighting and audio and stuff is great on that DVD.

Mastering the Rubber Guard book and DVD are both excellent. They changed my entire approach to jiu jitsu. While I'm seldom able to pull off very many of the techniques, after reading the book I had an actual plan of offense when I was rolling. Prior to that, all of my techniques were in isolation from each other. I rolled with no game plan. Mastering the Rubber Guard book gave me a series of moves that all fit together and it showed me alternate paths when one move didn't work for some reason. The Mastering the Rubber Guard DVD is mandatory after reading the book because it really helps you understand the proper way to execute the techniques. The photos in the book are horrible (but still not as bad as those in the Twister book) but the DVD is well shot.

I like the DVD so much that I actually put it into an editing program and made a version that has the technique stuff only, minus all the comedy and music (sorry Eddie!).

As for Fade to Black, I've never actually seen it, but my understanding is that it doesn't teach techniques that are unique to 10th Planet and its not done by a student that is close to Eddie and who trained with him for years. I think it's done by someone who trained with Eddie briefly. Not long ago, on this forum Eddie made a comment to the effect that the DVD shouldn't really have a 10th Planet logo.

Fade to Black was done by fraud and con artist, Brandon Quick, who is now super Anti-10th Planet! So don't buy it, just download it illegally! Some of the stuff in there is great, but not the best

"Mastering the twister" is a instructional, just isn't released yet. " The twister" is the one that Ric is referring to.

The 10th Planet instructionals are great but if you have no prior JJ training. My recommendation is to start off with Gracie University.

    https://www.gracieuniversity.com/LC/...3QJ4TGT7X&n=28

They are putting their whole curriculum online & hopefully on DVD.

Their Blue Belt Curriculum (Gracie Combatives):

    http://store.gracieacademy.com/p-197...ollection.aspx

They are currently working on their Blue Belt Stripe 1 (Master Cycle) curriculum:

    https://www.gracieuniversity.com/LC/...28&su=60&se=58

They also have a curriculum for kids called Gracie BullyProof online & on DVD:

    https://www.graciekids.com/Default.aspx

    The Curriculum:

I would love to see Eddie put his curriculum into an order of how he teaches. How many moves they learn per day or per week. That sort of thing so you can better use his instructionals & learn them the way you would if you attended a 10th Planet Academy in person.

I hope that this sort of instructional material is the wave of the future. I don't agree with the online belt testing but the instructionals are great & very worth the money in my opinion.
