What a fuckin weekend!!! I new it would be awesome but HO LEE SHITT! The road trip there was rushed so we had a little time for Jacob to rest from the ride. I'm a Texas boy & I will say I hate Las Vegas!!! Other than all the Asians.
On the day of the tournament it was SURREAL!!! EVERYONE was there(almost). The amount of talent in that room was INSANE!!! First off was the Black Belts & sweet jiu jitsu baby Jesus(picture your own Jesus) it was FUCKIN SICK!! And never disappointed match after match.
The kids bracket Jacob was in was a round robin. Still not sure if I know how that works. But Jacob, a former teammate & some kid not sure the name from Cobra Kai. First match was Jacob vs the Cobra Kai kid. The kid was a STUD!!! It was a pretty intense match, Jacob "couldn't get on him". It went to draw. Second match former teammate vs Cobra Kai kid, former teammate gets subbed. Then Jacob vs former teammate- draw. Cobra Kai wins.
Then Jacob does mens Blue belt 125 & under. And impressed the hell out of me. He was looking more savage than with the kids! His first match was against "Frodo"? from Yuma. It was a battle with Jacob getting the W via some crazy lookin inverted mounted triangle. Second match was against unknown 10on10 crime again. It also was a technical battle. That time ended with Jacob having a vaporizer, couldn't tell how deep.
It was worth every mile of god forsaken highway we endured to see that kid get love from the entire 10p Fam! I'd do it again it anytime. Thanks again Eddie,Chris, & everyone else! What I thought was a disaster turned into a blessing!!
