    DrewD, you're spot on with both points. Only small note is that his left arm was on the outside (i.e. not in-between my legs). My left heel and right knee definitely weren't touching though (his shoulder was still there between those two points).

    Would like to know though, what's does touching the left heel to the right knee accomplish? You're at least the 2nd person here to make that point, so I figure it's gotta be really important.

    Basically it helps to prevent the guy from bringing his left arm back inside your legs so you can get the triangle locked up. When you're in true pyramid you basically already have the triangle set up. You just have to windshield wiper your right leg over his head and your left leg to the left and lock in the figure four-and you're right into a locked triangle ready to be finished appropriately etc.
