With her successful run to the Championship at Battle 4 the Ages No Gi Worlds, a couple of teenagers asked Cora to teach them the rubber guard.

The rubber guard revolution is getting bigger and bigger here in Tx. During Cora's last tournament I saw a few kids trying to do rubber guard. It put a smile on my face when they hit mission control. BUT that's all that happened because they don't know where else to go after that, so they bailed out of it. At least its a start. Then while I was watching the adult, this guy had a dude in his guard and didn't know what to do with him. I screamed out "Rubber Guard" even though I had no idea who he was, he suddenly got to mission control....LOL But unfortunately, he too didn't do anything else with it. This is a true story just ask Brian Debes he was there and heard what I told that dude.. So little by little, people are getting on board with the rubber guard. They can't deny it anymore. As for Cora, I think she's in the rubber guard zone right now. She is hitting the Death from Below from all sorts of ways on kids now. She just pick it up so fast now.

Thats awesome! A friend of mine who teaches at a renzo gracie school in pa was down at my school rolling at my school and hit the go go clinch on a blue belt and i was like dam son! He was studying the rubber guard more and using it in gi all the time and killing with it. I have also been teaching half guard and rubber guard to some local pro mma guys and they love it. Its growing more and more cause people like cora keep spreading the word!

I show my daughter and son Cora's videos all the time. It would be great if they could meet someday. Morigan will be at all three days of the upcoming Great Lakes Camp.
