Considering how over the top it was, I'm guessing it's part of the image he's trying to portray. Sometimes guys tune it to watch you lose. Sometimes hate sells more tickets than love. Chael proved that. Right now, MMA is sports entertainment with an emphasis on entertainment. Until the average fighter can bank at least $40K per fight like boxers, guys need to do a little more to stand out to make sure they get bigger checks.
