Not denying that. But in this case it was a month ahead of time, if it was marijuana he was positive for on that random test the only difference would be that he wouldn't enter rehab because that would be ridiculous. Still no fine, no penalty. Diaz has claimed to smoke up to two weeks out for most fights, which means he got away with that pretty often. Add to that, the NSAC has since raised the threshold up to 150nanograms, in which case Diaz and Riddle would not have tested positive at the levels they had in their system. Most people could smoke up to a week out from the fight if they want, and be fine. For ufc 143 diaz tested at 25nanograms, the threshold at the time was 15nanograms.
