Guys, I'll start by saying that I am not an expert in the 10th planet system. However I've always kind of liked the rubber guard since I started training and I'm one of the most flexible guys at the gym (in a gym where flexibility is not very widespread and most of our guys have a strong top/passing game)
Now... without any incident that I can specifically remember, I started feeling lack of stability in my knee joint. In my leg that I usually use to set up the rubber guard. I think I've been trying too hard to get to that lotus position and I probably overextended my ligaments.
When my physio did the mcmurray test on my knee she said my PCL looked fucked and I'd probably need surgery. On our second session she kind of changed her mind and said maybe I just have lax knees because of my BJJ and Yoga training. I have an appt with a knee guy in about a week so we'll see.
I was wondering what kind of experience with knee issues, if any, you rubber guard players would have and if you had any advice. Thanks!
