Not near a 10th Planet & I want to get rank in 10th Planet System.

What's my best course of action? Most of the jiujitsu I know is 10th Planet stuff. The first techniques I ever learned was from an Eddie Bravo dvd. I'm willing to fly out and stay for a while wherever if I have to. I'd love to have a 10th Planet here in Greensboro or High Point, NC.

Dude, just train jiu-jitsu. You got plenty of good non-10P schools in the area, including the one you are in. The ranking thing won't really matter until black belt and you have a long time to worry about that.

I've been training for 8 yrs already and no rank. Also, I actually want to run a 10th Planet program, so I need rank for that.

*No, I don't suck. I've just been sidelined with injuries and work and have had to change gyms several times. Now, due to schedule, I train at 3-4 different places, so no one will belt me without allegiance.

1) Compete
2) Make sure the 10p warm ups are flawless
3) Make sure your lockdown, Rubber Guard, Twister, swim move/spiderweb material is flawless
4) Put in time (not a weekend) at a moon, regular visits over a period of time.

No one will rank you if you just pop in for weekend, you have to make a commitment to the 10th Planet system. Then Eddie or another moon head will consider ranking you.

Don't get caught up in ranking if you can't regularly make it to a moon. I've been training almost 2 years at a couple different no gi schools where I can't be ranked, so I'm a white belt by virtue. But I really don't mind that, my whole game is 10th planet based and I'm pretty happy with where I'm at with my progression as a grappler. To be honest, not having a rank is a pretty cool gig, the whole mental barrier of belts kind of dissolves and you can just focus on developing your game
