What % of 10th planet guys wear cups? Thoughts on them? Looking at reddit's JJ threads about them, most gi guys don't wear them, but a higher % of nogi guys do.

I don't wear one
I'm mostly a gi guy, I don't wear a cup or mouth guard.
I always wear mine - gotta protect the big guy!
I used to hate them but I brought a proper fitting one and I don't even notice now it tbh
I don't wear one and 99% of the time it's not an issue. I know in competitions they usually don't allow it cuz it could help your leverage for armbars. There are some dudes out there with unrefined knee-slice passes that you gotta watch out for, but I think I've only gotten one nutshot in 2.5 years and that was from a dude that had spaz written all over him. Probably best to keep an eye out for those dudes
On my first BJJ lesson I was told to not wear a cup because they're not allowed for comps (train how you compete).
At my current gym I would say more than 50% do in gi and no gi.
Those "spaz" guys are the ones that I feel are most likely to cause me or one of my team mates, or even him/herself injury. If you have to roll with them, just tell them you want to go ultra light. Sometimes the spazzys/spazzies/spazzeez *Did I just make up a descriptive word?* don't know that they're actually spazzing out. And if anything...just tap early and often if they start to spaz in a dangerous spot. I had a spazzy try to spaz out of the omoplata I had him in. He was bucking around all crazy. I recognized it and simply let his arm go because I believed that he would have possibly broken his own shoulder joint.
I always wear one, and banning them in comp is just dumb, imo.
Don't believe everything you think.
I always wear one
I always wear mine unless getting ready for an ibjjf rules comp.
