    Reverse Lockdown

So been implementing reverse lockdown into my half guard game recently cause of being constantly crushed by shoulder pressure by my coach whilst in lockdown with double unders. So a question for the whip down.

    1) The whip down itself, whats the correct motion for it? I seem to be doing it incorrectly as I find it hard to get onto my side.
    2) Using the underhook seems vital during the whip down but should I also be pushing his arm if I can with my free arm

Hope that makes sense, confusing myself there nearly lol. Any other tips for playing reverse lockdown would be deeply appreciated

When you say reverse lockdown are u flipping the legs (instead of outside leg in first, are you doing inside leg in then outside leg and then stretching them out?

The motion I use for the reverse lockdown is the same that I would use for an electric chair (angry rainbow). It helps to "uppercut" your arm into them (the one on the opposite side of your lockdown) to get even more on your side, and the uppercut motion also gives you a really deep underhook.
But yeah, you can definitely push their arm with your free hand if you want to work for the 5-0 sweep

I'm confused. What's the difference between the reverse lockdown and regular lockdown? From the video above, it looks the same to me.

It looks like Geo (and possibly the OP) is just using the term "reverse lockdown" instead of whip-down. Unless I've misunderstood something.
    Don't believe everything you think.

The difference is what hip you are trying to get on. The whip-up is the traditional version, whip-down to reverse. The constant is you always want to be on a hip for mobility. Never flat. Bmc will punch choke you there.
