Some gi chokes from the Twister we've been playing with (VIDEO)

We've been playing with some Gi specific techniques from the Truck/Twister position that would be legal for Gi competition and IBJJF tournaments.

I've seen some of the higher level guys starting to use the truck to get to the back but I haven't seen anyone attacking from there because most of the submissions are illegal in Gi competition. Here's 3 options for those of you that also train in the PJs.

HA caught the ezekiel today. These are perfect. It's tough to go for the twister sometimes in the gym, let alone tournaments.

A quick detail on the Ezekiel choke:

If you notice the sleeve that I take a grip inside. The sleeve is slid up my arm a little bit so the grip is fairly close to the elbow. This gives you the range of motion to bring the choking arm around in front of the neck. Some people take the grip while the sleeve is still down near the wrist. If you do that it makes it difficult to bring the choking arm around in front of the neck. Something to keep an eye on if you're having trouble with that choke
