Get in the position and work with what Zog has generously provided on the TWIR. It won't be long before you figure out where the weak links or transitional windows are that may be available.
Russian Cowboy aka honeyhole aka saddle, my understanding is that a knee pummel could give you inside position to kick out. Or if you post your foot on the mat, it can't be twisted in an awkward direction. Or catch them in transition and throw'em off base if they go for it. Or use both your hands to hold one of their hands to buy yourself a second or two. An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure. Reason why I started juicing* in the first place.
