It's been quite an eventful 12 days for me. Went to Chicago for Gracie Regionals, went 1-1 in my division and lost in the absolute, but it was great to get out there and kick off my competition season with a solid first round victory and a new area of focus to hone.
10P Chicago is awesome. The guys at the fighter house took me in for a whole week, drove me around, and made sure I ate really well. Matt Paul, Nate, and Ben, y'all are some hittas. Josh Passini, thank you for taking me into your gym and coaching me up while I was there. Despite me not wanting to rep out those arm bars, I've already started to look for them in rolls much more than usual. Thanks for not letting me be lazy lol. Also, thank you for those wrestling details that I've been in need of; Matt Paul too. And thank you for everyone that I got to train with and compete alongside. It was fucking incredible to have you guys as teammates. I'm highly anticipating the next time I get to see you all.
After getting back home I got to have Sean Applegate and Josh Yelverton crash at my place for the ADCC trials, and hang out with Big John Fajita. I've never been to a tournament without competing, but I had one of the best times just watching and cheering on our guys. It was such an emotional roller coaster, being on the sidelines, watching Boogie, Sean, John, and Mike Nunja compete. Thank you all for coming out to SoFlo. Y'all are welcome anytime.
