Lyoto Machida won this fight.

The third was definitively his round. But the first two rounds might have gone to Rampage.

He already got a free win over Shogun... So even if Rampage said that he got his ass whopped - he won!

It looks to me like he was just holding on at the end of the round just preventing any damage, he doen't really have time for the omoplata sweep or sub. Plus Rampage is doing a good job of tucking his head away and defending.

well it was the end of the round and as you can see, machida was going for any submission he could - armbar, heelhook, omoplata. I think he knew he was going to lose and that's the reason for the desperate attacks, so there's no reason he would just hold him in the RB. he was trying to spin around for the omoplata but rampage was clearly trapping his other leg.
