Looking for some tips on my whip up, as of right now my whip up is a low percentage technique any suggestions on improving it would be greatly appreciated.
Hands under their armpits using a c-grip, whip up north as you use your grip the push him further up north as you swing to your side, once on your side you can work the old school sweep, dogfight, electric chair for starters
I had a bad whip up until I did a seminar with Scott. Changed everything! Big key for me is the motion should be like you are trying to do a back roll then at the height of the whip up drop on to your hip. Before his instruction I was doing more of a weak pendulum motion with little success. Real instruction always trumps YouTube!
It all depends on if your opponent is smashing you or pulling away. Focus on E2's whip, the 1/4 whip for when ur opponent is putting his weight on you. Focus on E4's whip after the whip down, "uppercut whip". There is also the whip back too and the Omaha whip. So many different situations. The OG whip up was designed to get you off being flat on your back. After a while it's gets really hard to keep someone flat especially when you go to the reverse lock down game
