I'm so happy Soto beat Miyao. I'm sure the Miyao brothers work super hard and I definitely respect their technical mastery of THEIR style. But, I honestly think submission grappling as a sport is a lot better off if their style is not seen as the dominant one in our sport.

Listening to Eddie on Chael's podcats the other day and Chael gave the example of how it might not be a 'ridiculous dream' that Eddie one day hopes that the winner could get a 1 million, with $250,000 on the line for every win in regulation after Crossfit went from a $2000 prize initially to a million or so just over a year later when Reebok jumped in.

Just imagine if a major sponser jumped on it and it happened to EBI. Just imagine.

What a great show. I really think Eddie needs to be the commentator for this event I think people would enjoy hearing Eddie and the knowledge he has. Also there really needs to be a riding time clock like in college wrestling Miyao and soto was way too close to not have a visual for the audience. Miyao style is fine everyone was trying to run away from it because he's all over YouTube. You will see that next time when Eddie Cummings attacks legs people will be running out of those leg locks. There should be a type of uniform of some sort because I think it was an unfair advantage of how oily Joe Soto was. Awesome event matamoros is going out of business this is hands down the best no go event.
