Here is my first match at the Dallas IBJJF no-gi competition this weekend for Masters 2 light weight. I had a few failed electric chairs and was down on points but around the 4:50 mark in the video I come back with just a few seconds to go and go from mission control/zombie to the omoplata. He doesn't want to tap so I have to sit up and push his arm down with mine (almost to the ground before he taps) which is something I probably wouldn't have thought of unless I had seen the Ben Saunders match.
If anyone has any advice for me, please let me know. In particular I'm having issues lately with people not tapping to the electric chair, them winning and walking away with a ice on their knee.. So some better way of finishing that or an alternate dominant position from there would be good. Strong guys are usually able to push me away from their legs and we end up in a scramble instead of me on top.
Just the ompolata
