there isn't one solution to any of these "problems" (ie consumerism, illegal wars in iraq/afghanistan, the banks selling out america, etc.).
take a second to be honest with yourself and ask, "do i really want to find a solution? or do i just want a quick fix, so i don't have to see these depressing documentaries, news stories, etc., and so i can go back to having fun?"
the solution(s) to these problems is unique to everyone because we are all different. we have different personalities, beliefs, financial situations, etc.
become more informed and educate yourself on why we have these problems. why do we buy shit we don't need? why is the government burning taxpayer money to fund the iraq/afgahnistan wars?
you can't find the solution until you have substantially educated yourself on the problem(s). and there is more to it than just watching a documentary on youtube, reading a news article, or clicking on a thread in an internet forum. becoming informed requires a lot of time reading and watching a lot of boring crap. it's tedious, hard work, and no fun involved. but that's how it supposed to be. because if it was easy, then we would all be living in utopia right now.
think of all the trivial and useless crap that wastes valuable time and money in your daily life. think of all the stuff you buy that you don't need, the garbage on tv that fries your brain, or those video games that REALLY fry your brain. cut all that shit out and start reading lots of boring crap. pretty easy right?
