    Jiu jitsu and chiropractic

I had a chiropractor here in Indianapolis tune me up, but tell me that the way I'm going I'm probably going to have degenerative disc problems when I'm older. I need look no further than Master Edgy to know that a squashed disc doesn't mean you can't still be a bamf on the mats. Generally wanna throw it out there, what are people's experiences with chiro and training? Helps or hurts?

Helps tremendously, if you find the right one! I wouldn't be on the mats as often as I am without it. I'm usually at my chiro 1-2x per week.

yoga is very important for disk issues. It will condition and strengthen the muscles that hold everything in place. Not only can it help from reducing further degredation it can actually make things much better. There are plenty of examples of people with disk issues who started training yoga religiously and have zero pain today as a result. Obviously training jiu jitsu you probably won't ever be pain free, but I guarantee you yoga will help.

    I can't speak to Chiropractors I don't use them.

Try to hit the chiro 1x per week, but have been doing a lot of stretching and inversion, which also seems to keep things held together back there.
