People are varied, as Toronto is multiple cultural to the max, with very few segregated pockets. We have mixed identities in most neighborhoods. So you'll get friendly, and cold (cold only if your ugly..lol).

In most areas you can walk the street any hour of night, yet, like everywhere there are some neighborhoods that require a heads up, but those are very few, and if you flex right, you might enjoy those pockets more. But like I said, those neighborhoods are very few.
Schools are world class because the public teachers make almost a 100K!
So the competition to get one of those jobs is very stiff.
Regardless, most people are damn friendly (if you're good looking).
